We are currently looking for artists and poets for the winter issue! The loose theme is nature, appreciation for life, or hope, but this can be interpreted in many ways.
This issue will require a poet and an artist to collaborate on one page together. The page will have a poem (which can be any length, as long as it fits on the page!), and illustrations and designs on the page around it.
Here is an example of what a page might look like. The artist and poet may come up with an idea together, the poet may have a poem in mind that the artist can illustrate, or the artist might have a design in mind that the poet can write about. It can be done in whatever way works best for the duo!
Each page will be 8.5" wide and 5.5" high. They will be printed in black & white, so be sure your design looks good in greyscale! Include both the artist and poets name somewhere in the design.
Feel free to get weird with your designs. Tricolor is about creative freedom and expression. Play with text formatting, hide or scratch out words, make a collage of art and writing. This doesn't have to be a typical poem at all.
The deadline for the pages is December 22, but as always I will work with you if you need more time. Thank you for your interest in this project!
